Official Rules

1. These Official Rules govern any land based or "Brick and Mortar" event to which NLOP™ Inc. is officially sponsoring. In addition, each individual live event may have its own unique Terms and Conditions which would apply in addition to these general Terms and Conditions.
2. All players must be 21 years of age to participate. All players will be required to produce proof of age (passport or other valid picture ID).
3. By participating in a qualifying tournament of any kind sponsored by NLOP™ Inc., you grant NLOP™ Inc. the right to use your name and likeness for future promotional purposes without further compensation.
4. Unless otherwise stated, all Live Events will be No Limit Hold ‘Em.
5. You may be required to sign a waiver for the hosting venue (such as a casino or card room) and may be required to sign a waiver for a media sponsor. If you choose not to sign those waivers, you will not be permitted to play in the Live Event, and will receive no compensation or refund from NLOP™ Inc.
6. During live tournaments, strict rules regarding player behavior will be enforced. These may include penalties, up to and including disqualification, for foul language, abuse of dealers, players or any other person during the Event, or any other behavior that the organizers, in their sole judgment, believe to be detrimental to its conduct of the Event. NLOP™ Inc. will not provide any refunds if you are penalized or disqualified. 7. The Registered players will be required to pay a dealer fee only (Example $20.00/player) no buy-ins. Each player that registers will be awarded an NLOP gift card redeemable for one month free VIP status at NLOP ($19.99 value) this provides players a no-cost entry fee. *Note, Some Casinos may charge an additional ‘service fee’ ($20.00- $40.00) for facility use and staff.  Please check with the individual Live Tournament Event Details to see if these fees apply.
8. Anyone who wants to play in more than one live event can either come and pay the dealer fee (w/o getting reimbursed with an NLOP VIP Gift card) or, if they bring a friend with them (and they have to bring a new friend every time), they will get reimbursed with the NLOP VIP Gift Card.
9. The 1st and 2nd place winners of each live event will earn a seat at the 2009 NLOP Players Championship in Las Vegas where we will give over $30,000 away in cash and prizes-including a $20,000 first prize. Both 1st and 2nd place winners will also receive 2 nights’ free rooms in Las Vegas and free access to the NLOP players after party. The seat won to the 2009 NLOP Player’s Championship Event in Las Vegas is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. If you win, you must play or forfeit the seat. If you win additional seats, they may not be sold or transferred. ALL SEATS AND PRIZES ARE NON-TRANSFERRABLE. *Note,  Each Live event must have a minimum of 50 registered players to be ‘officially sanctioned’ by NLOP. Live events that have fewer than 50 registered players may occur, but will not award the 1st and 2nd place winners 2 nights’ free rooms in Las Vegas at the 2009 NLOP Players Championship. The 1st and 2nd place winners will instead be awarded a Basic Entry Package to the 2009 NLOP Players Championship which includes: Tournament Entry and two passes to the NLOP Championship After Party.  NLOP will provide a travel agent to assist those who wish to purchase airfare to Las Vegas. In addition a special NLOP Player’s group rate will be provided for a block of rooms at a Las Vegas hotel, and will be available on a first come first serve basis.
10. The 1st place winner of each live will receive a trophy provided by NLOP. 2nd-5th will receive NLOP Logo Hat and T-shirt. We will also provide tournament staff with NLOP Logo hats and shirts.
11. Registered Member - All participants at NLOP Live Across America events must be registered members of NLOP.COM. Players may register live at any NLOP Live Across America event or online at www.nlop.com.
12. Cell phone - If cell phone use becomes a distraction to the table or interrupts the game, you will be asked to turn it off. Failure to do so will result in the players removal from the tournament.
13. Conduct/Penalty - Inappropriate behavior may be punished with a penalty starting with a simple warning to being “dealt out” (chips will remain at the table and blinds posted and folded) for a length of time to be determined by the TD, penalty’s start at ten minutes and are determined by the TD based on the infraction. A severe infraction such as abusive or disruptive behavior may be result in removal from the tournament. Examples of inappropriate behavior: Verbal or physical threats, chastising opponents play, obscene or profane language, creating a disturbance by arguing, shouting, or making excessive noise, throwing equipment, destroying property, carrying a weapon.
14. Etiquette - The following actions are improper and grounds for penalty: Touching other players cards or chips, rabbit hunting, acting out of turn, splashing the pot, revealing another players hand, interfering with the visibility of cards or chips, making statements or actions that might influence play in an unfair manner.
15. NO GAMBLING - No side bets, No cash bets. Any member found violating this rule will be banned from

17. Non-player - A player not involved in the tournament may not sit at a table.

NLOP™ is absolutely committed to your privacy. Any and all the information collected on this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned!

How NLOP™ Uses the Information You Provide:
NLOP™ uses this information to provide you with the service you have requested. If you register for a land based or "Brick and Mortar" event to which NLOP™ Inc. is officially sponsoring, We may use the information to communicate with you about the Live Event and any related Event news and/or updates.

And if you choose to participate in additional promotions and features offered on our site, we may forward your information to third parties for services such as Registration processing and prize fulfillment. Similarly, if you win a prize through NLOP™, we will use this information to notify you if you are a winner.

There are also times when you provide information about yourself to us in areas of the site that are managed or participated in by third parties, such as Casinos and/or Card Rooms. In such cases, the information may be used by us and by such third party(ies), each pursuant to its own policies. While NLOP™ will seek to require such third parties to follow appropriate privacy policies, NLOP™ does not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of third parties.

We also allow access to our database by third parties that provide us with services, such as technical maintenance or forums software, but only for the purpose of and to the extent necessary to provide those services.

There may also be occasion when we are legally required to provide access to our database in order to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings. In those instances, the information is provided only for that purpose.
